Howard L. Graef, D.D.S.
Dr. Graef received his undergraduate degree in biology in 1975 and a Master’s degree in Human Genetics in 1977 from Wayne State University. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Detroit in 1982. The next year was devoted to completing a General Practice Residency at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. He returned to Southeast Michigan with his family and shortly thereafter joined the staff at Sinai Hospital in Detroit teaching residents in the department of Oral Diagnosis while also practicing full time. He began his own practice in Clawson in 1987 and opened a new state of the art facility in the year 2000.
Dr. Graef and his staff are devoted to improving the health and care of patients through the latest in education and technology. His practice is devoted to a comprehensive approach in order to assure that patients receive the finest care possible. On average, Dr. Graef attends more than 100 hours of continuing education per year. He has also been involved in providing care for the less fortunate for many years. In August, 2007 he started a free dental clinic in Quito, Ecuador. This annual one week endeavor will continue in 2008.
Dr. Graef resides in Huntington Woods with his wife, Francina. He enjoys spending family time with his wife and daughters, Johanna (Chris) and Martina (Eric) and grandchildren, traveling, playing tennis, skiing, and studying music.
